PSyGenCTF — Team Qualifier

This is the official qualifier to join the PSG College of Technology Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences (AMCS) CTF Team. Twenty challenges, six categories, one scoreboard — this is where we find out who makes the roster.

Capture the flag isn't about memorising tools. It's about how you think when a system does something it was never supposed to do. Read what others skim. Break what others trust. Keep going when the obvious path is a wall. That's the person we're looking for.

What's at stake

  • A place on the AMCS CTF Team that represents the department in inter-college and national CTFs.
  • A squad that trains together year-round across web, binary exploitation, reversing, crypto, forensics and OSINT.
  • Bragging rights on a scoreboard your peers can see.

How it works

  • 20 challenges across 6 categories — OSINT, Web, Reverse Engineering, Misc, Crypto and Forensics.
  • 4,200 points on the board. Harder challenges are worth more; ties are broken by who reached the score first.
  • Some challenges hand you a file to pull apart. Others spin up a private instance just for your team — hit Start on the challenge and you'll get your own host and port.
  • Solo or in a team — climb the scoreboard, and the top finishers earn the interview/selection round.

Flag format

PSyGenCTF{l33t5p34k_1n51d3_th3_br4c35}

Every flag looks like PSyGenCTF{...} with the inside written in leetspeak. Submit it exactly as you find it.

Rules

  • Attack only the challenges — never the scoreboard, the platform, or other players. Only the hosts and ports a challenge gives you are in scope.
  • No sharing flags, hints or solutions between teams. Instanced flags are unique, and we can tell.
  • No automated brute-forcing of flag submission. Scanners are allowed only where a challenge says so.
  • Use any tools and references you like — but the solve has to be yours. Submitting an unearned flag is disqualification.
  • Stuck, or found something broken? Ping the organizers.

Good luck. Make it count — the roster is watching. >_
